The Mission Concepts and Capabilities Division (MCC) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a motivated, energetic Systems Administrator to support the government in the development and application of high-assurance computer security systems hardware and software. This contingent position, expected to start late spring or early summer 2025, will support provide support on-site in the National Capital Region, from ARA facilities, and via telecommuting when approved.
The successful candidate will engage in the administration and development of high-assurance network systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of related experience OR high school diploma with 5+ years of directly relevant experience in systems administration. DoD TOP SECRET clearance Must be a US Citizen Experience in the administration and development of high assurance network systems Experience with cryptographic protocols for the secure routing of messages Experience in the integration, testing, and analysis of high assurance operational network systems, such as intrusion detection systems (IDSs), firewalls, Layer 2/3 network switches, enterprise-level virus/malware detection systems, network security scanners, and Virtualization, Experience with two or more of the following development languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Linux Scripting, PowerShell, Ruby, PHP, CSS, VBS, SQL or Assembly Experience in creating and maintaining the standards of systems operating proceduresDesired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related discipline
