In this role, your expertise will help keep networks secure and efficient, driving success across a wide range of technical objectives.You will excel in this role if you are:Driven to solve technical issues and implement network security best practicesFocused on system administration and able to support hardware and network infrastructureExperienced in implementing new technologies with minimal impact to usersA day in the life consists of:Actively managing and monitoring enterprise computer systems and networksAnalyzing and addressing technical issues to ensure smooth operationsTranslating user requests into technical diagnoses and solutionsDeveloping strategies to migrate customers to new technologiesEvaluating new technologies to improve system performance and securityMust haves:Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 7 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 9 years of experienceDegree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related fieldTS/SCI clearance with polygraphRelevant experience in systems design, network security, penetration testing, or systems administrationAbility to obtain an IAT-I certification (A+CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+CE, or SSCP)Strong Linux experience and expertise in systems/network administration and IT managementExperience with hardware installation, setting up network-attached storage, and implementing security best practices, including PKI certificate managementProficiency in Unix shell scripting languages (Bash, Bourne, or C)
