Job Title: Systems Administrator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to deploy and maintain applications in AWS and other cloud environments. The ideal candidate will support installation, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of applications on Linux VMs, including AWS. Additionally, you will implement security requirements and deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containers in OpenShift and Gitlab.

ResponsibilitiesDeploy and maintain applications in AWS and other cloud environments.Support installation, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of applications on Linux VMs, including AWS.Implement security requirements, including STIGs, OS patches, and documentation.Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containers in OpenShift and Gitlab.Essential SkillsLinux/Unix system administrationExperience with AWSExperience deploying and maintaining applications in cloud environmentsExperience with installation, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of applications on Linux VMsExperience implementing security requirements, including STIGs, OS patches, and documentationExperience with deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting containers in OpenShift and GitlabExperience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Alfresco, MongoDB, CloudWatch, and GITAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociates degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related field and 2+ years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud/Software engineer -OR- 3-5 years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud/Software engineerExperience as a Systems Administrator or DevOps engineerFamiliarity with troubleshooting applications running on Linux OSInformation security experience with STIGs, IAVAMs, and security documentationProven experience maintaining production systems for external customersExperience working in cloud-based environments such as AWSPreferred: Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related field and 3+ years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud/Software engineer -OR- 5-6 years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud/Software engineerDeep understanding of RHEL based systemsExperience with installing, configuring, and administering containersExperience with Elasticsearch/Opensearch, PostgreSQL, Alfresco or MongoDBExperience configuring monitoring with CloudWatchExperience working with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, and pipeline automation toolsetsExperience with GITWork Environment

The work environment involves working with advanced cloud and container technologies, primarily in AWS and OpenShift. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and innovation. The role requires a solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and system maintenance. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who can adapt to changing technologies and requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $155000.00
