PURPOSE
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software systems that support operations of all Kitco Metals Inc. offices. This individual will serve as a system/network technical expert in day-to-day operations, assist in problem-solving efforts and projects, and develop new system and application implementations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Install and maintain systems, applications, security, and network equipment.
• Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of critical systems.
• Recommend upgrades, patches, new applications and equipment.
• Set up, configure, and support internal and/or external networks.
• Support environment specific hardware and software platforms.
• Support end-users.
• Troubleshoot system and network performance issues.
• Stay current with technological developments in network-systems administration technology and recommend ways for Kitco Metals Inc. to take advantage of new technology.
• 24 x 7 on call availability on a rotational basis, must be available for overtime when needed.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in a critical environment.
• Experience with Windows 10, Windows Server, VMware, IIS, SharePoint, Exchange, Active Directory, MS SQL, and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and support Windows Server, MS SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with the following would be considered an asset(s): Networking switches, firewalls, Mitel phone system, VoIP, SAN, Linux, Apache, MySQL, Cloud Platforms.

• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent English abilities to be able to offer support to our international offices.
The candidate must speak English to support KLI and HK offices, handle service requests outside Quebec, and manage time-sensitive issues. They must engage in vendor meetings on payment processing. Strong English skills are essential for clear communication and documentation.
