Systems Administrator

Summary:
Support and maintain physical and virtual IT infrastructure, ensuring cyber compliance, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in secure laboratory environments.

Job Requirements:

U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility Active Secret Security clearance at the start of employment University Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree Experience with network devices (managed switches, routers, firewalls) and network protocols (TCP/IP, etc.) Experience with desktop support, server administration, and virtualization technologies (VMWare, etc.) Proficiency in x86-based hardware, Microsoft/Linux/Unix operating systems, and systems administration Security certifications such as Security+ or CISSP

Preferred Skills:

Technology certifications in systems administration, cloud computing, etc. Experience with compliance frameworks (RMF, DFARS) Knowledge of best practices in system security and cyber hardening, including segmented computing environments, managed data transfers, patching, and vulnerability management (STIG, etc.) Experience working in large, multi-disciplinary teams to resolve complex technical challenges Familiarity with agile project methodologies

Job Responsibilities:

Support physical clients, servers, storage, and networking equipment in restricted or secure laboratory environments Maintain cyber compliance standards and ensure adherence to security policies Provide virtual infrastructure support, including troubleshooting and system administration Diagnose and resolve technical challenges using proven troubleshooting methodologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead initiatives to develop secure and efficient IT solutions

Pay Details: $40.00 to $53.00 per hour
