Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in managing both Windows and Linux server environments, with hands-on experience in virtualization using Hyper-V. Responsibilities: Server Administration (Windows & Linux): + Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers. + Perform system updates, patches, and security hardening. + Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues. + Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Virtualization (Hyper-V): + Deploy, manage, and maintain virtual machines using Hyper-V. + Monitor virtual machine performance and resource utilization. + Implement and manage virtual network configurations. + Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing of virtual machines. System Monitoring and Maintenance: + Implement and maintain system monitoring tools. + Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues. + Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning. + Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Technical Support: + Provide technical support to internal users and other IT staff. + Respond to and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner. + Assist in the development of technical documentation. Security: + Implement and maintain security best practices. + Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities. + Assist in security audits. Requirements Qualifications: + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems administration. + Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux server environments. + Hands-on experience with Hyper-V virtualization. + Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols. + Experience with system monitoring tools. + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills: + Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy. + Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash). + Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. + Experience with cloud based server management. + Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Linux+).
