Security Clearance: Secret Clearance (Active or Eligible)\nPosition Overview:\n

We are seeking a Systems Administrator II to join our team at Buckley Space Force Station. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting complex IT systems, ensuring their security, availability, and performance in line with mission requirements. \nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAdminister, monitor, and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.\nPerform daily system management tasks, including system backups, restores, patch management, and user administration.\nImplement and enforce cybersecurity policies to maintain the integrity and security of the system.\nTroubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.\nMonitor system performance and perform tuning for optimal system operations.\nAssist in the planning and implementation of system upgrades and patches.\nMaintain documentation of system configurations, changes, and processes.\nCollaborate with team members and support personnel to identify and resolve complex issues.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (equivalent experience may be substituted).\n2-6 years of experience in systems administration or a similar role.\nProficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.\nFamiliarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.\nExperience with network infrastructure and configuration (TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP).\nKnowledge of DoD security practices and compliance (e.g., DISA STIGs, RMF).\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills.\nActive Secret Clearance (interim acceptable)\nCertifications such as CompTIA Security+ or other IAT-Level II Certification or higher. \n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience working in a DoD or aerospace environment.\n\n
