Systems Administrator II

As a Systems Administrator II, you will be using your skills and expertise to assist in the analysis, development, and configuration of our existing software and systems that address business requirements and processes. You'll be responsible for evaluating the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of our systems, establishing and documenting system parameters and formats, ensuring hardware and software system compatibility, coordinating and/or modifying system parameters, and revising our existing systems and testing functionality of those systems. You'll correct deficiencies and produce more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

ResponsibilitiesOversee the maintenance of servers in all capacities that include, but not limited to configuring, installing new hardware/software, performing upgrades to existing servers & software, coordinating the introduction of additional servers and storage to the network, following security policies and procedures, and performing other technical duties as neededMaintain servers and storage for business area business applicationsProvide platform infrastructure supportProvide general business application supportMaintain detailed inventory of Business Area assetsMaintain documentation of network server configurations, application licensing agreements, and other third party software installedMaintain server and related hardwareResponsible for backup systems process and proceduresDocument repair/maintenance and change requests through ServiceNow ticketing systemWork closely with the Engineering Development teams to provide any required hardware, system, software supportProactively monitor the infrastructure including servers to prevent issues and to resolve issues as they happenExperience in supporting applications in Linux and Microsoft environmentsInstalling, maintaining, and troubleshooting wired/wireless networks and related equipmentParticipate in testing of new software and hardwarERemediate compliancy issues including Cyber security compliance (NIST 800-171)

Qualifications The Employee Must HaveBachelor's Degree in an information technology related field with at least 2 or more years of relevant experience
     *Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
     *Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required educationPrior experience with systems administration in Windows or Linux environmentsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with othersDemonstrate a customer care philosophy that ensures a high level of customer satisfactionProven organizational skills with an attention to detail

Qualifications We Prefer2-5 years' experience implementing and supporting AWS and Azure Cloud Operations

2-5 years' Experience implementing and supporting VMware (VRealize, VRealize Operations, VRealize Automation)

2-5 years' Experience  with IT Operations Monitoring Tools (PRTG, VROperations, Solarwinds)

Ability to Trouble shoot Network connectivity between Server Infrastructure

One of the following:
   •  AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
   •  AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
   •  AWS Certified Developer – Associate
   •  Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
