RBR-Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support one of our customers in Fort Meade Maryland.\n
RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.\nManage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.\nProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.\nProvide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.\nProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client\/server\/storage\/network devices, mobile devices, etc.\nProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.\nProvide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.\nOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.\nProvide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.\nProvide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.\nConfigure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs\/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.\nProvide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.\nSupport the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.\nPossess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).\nAnalyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.\n\n
Candidate will have expertise in: \n\nRed Hat Linux\nWindows OS\nActive Directory \nVMware\nPatching (Satellite and WSUS)\nFile Transfers\nSTE\/STN experience a plus\nAccount Management\nWorking knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)\n\n
REQUIREMENTS\n\nActive TS\/SCI with polygraph required to be considered\nFifteen (15) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.\nBachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. \nFive (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.\nFive (5) years' demonstrated experience in each of the following\nFive (5) years demonstrated experience in Information Assurance - In addition to systems-based operating systems, configure and manage virtual environments.\nFive (5) years demonstrated experience in Information Technology - Patch systems based on state-of-the-art security and functional parameters\n\n
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT\n\nPredominantly operates in an office environment. Some periods of time may be spent in computer room and communications equipment spaces for installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting of heavy networking equipment.\n\n
