Responsibilities Arcfield is seeking an IT Network and Systems Administrator to provide support to computer systems and network infrastructure in a secure systems mission architecture. The qualified candidate will provide design, maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement support for the architecture in a classified and unclassified environment; ensure compliance with applicable information assurance requirements; and create and update relevant system documents. Install, configure, and maintain Windows (Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2016, or 2019) and Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, CentOS) servers, desktops, and all network devices in accordance with all NIST 800-53A r4 and DISA STIG and SRG requirements. Evaluate and gain comprehension of new technologies to assist with new requirement implementation efforts. Use log aggregation technologies allowing for the collection and filtering of system logs and audit trails. Support software development environments that utilize commercial, GOTS, and custom tooling. Perform hardware/software installation and integration, and general infrastructure support. Prepare documentation related to system configurations and baselines. Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space. Configure desktop and server virtualization within VMware vSphere and EXSi. Provide daily, on-site support for the operations/maintenance of information systems deployments in an air-gapped environment. Understand information systems architecture, perform installation and STIG hardening of Operating Systems; maintain within and across multiple classification levels. Configure and execute vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus), SCAP/STIG scans (SCC Tool, OpenSCAP, etc.), and perform remediating steps based on findings. Administer Windows and Red Hat Linux in an offline or standalone environment. Perform User account and access control management (Active Directory, LDAP, User Access Control) in a domain or stand-alone environment. Perform proper marking, handling, and storage of classified materials. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, Network Engineering, or closely related discipline plus 5-7 years of experience, MS plus 3-5 years of experience, PhD plus 0-2 years of experience Must BE ABLE TO OBTAIN and maintain a Secret Clearance A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a System Administrator. DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP). Desired: Previous experience working in a classified Collateral environment Understanding of network concepts and Type 1 encryption devices, such as TACLANEs. Understanding of networking concepts and cybersecurity related tools to include, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and vulnerability scanners. Knowledge of and ability to securely configure network equipment (switches and firewalls). Experience in Information Assurance and Cyber Security. Knowledge and experience with various network administration, monitoring, and security tools (Wireshark, Nessus, Snort, Netcat and PRTG). Experience with SIEM tools, VMWare, NetApp, endpoint security tools.
