Job Summary
The application administrator will handle, configure, and support our Atlassian tools in a Linux environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, customization, optimization, and upgrading of these tools to meet the needs of our organization. An understanding of all tools, including Jira Align, along with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure effective tool usage and data-driven decision-making is required.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support instances, including user management, permissions, workflows, schemes, and project configurations for Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align.Install, configure, and run add-ons and plugins.Implement and maintain automation rules using Jira Automation and Script-Runner.Work on external integration with Atlassian products, including Jira Align.Customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, fields, and other components to meet business requirements.Optimize Confluence spaces, templates, and macros to improve user experience and efficiency.Develop and maintain custom scripts and reports as needed.Provide technical support for Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align users, solving issues and resolving them in a timely manner.Perform regular system audits, backups, upgrades, and performance tuning.Ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and versions in a Linux environment.Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align configurations, processes, and standard methodologies.Conduct training sessions for users and customers to promote standard methodologies and effective use of Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align.Engage closely with IT, development teams, project managers, and other customers to understand requirements and provide solutions.Participate in multi-functional team meetings to gather requirements and provide input on system enhancements.Ensure Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align are aligned with internal security policies and external regulations.Lead user access and permissions to maintain system security.Analyze application usage data to support and improve application performance and user adoption.This role may require occasional on-call support and the ability to work flexible hours.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven ability in administering and configuring Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align.Strong familiarity with the Linux environment every day.Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100 Jira Administrator, ACP-200 Confluence Administrator) are a plus.Skills
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align administration.Experience with Jira Query Language (JQL) and scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python).Familiarity with database management and SQL.Knowledge of ITSM, Agile, and DevOps practices.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to support application usage through data-driven insights.Superb communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Meticulous with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
