Job Title:  Systems Administrator (MDS)

Job Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a Systems Administrator to provide on-site customer support services, Information Assurance (IA) support, and Information Technology (IT) support for the Medical Community of Interest (MEDCOI) network and unique medical applications/systems located at the Los Angeles AFB.

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide on-site customer support services for the LAAFB MTFs and will serve as the 61 MDS Medical Information Services (MIS) Helpdesk by responding to customer inquiries and service requests (walk-in, phone, and/or email).Utilize the Global Service Center as the primary MIS incident management tool, but the contractor shall immediately assist users in instances described within the MDS GSC Implementation Memorandum.Working with the other organizations/agencies as necessary to resolve issues outside of LAAFB control.Input all work orders/service requests in the Government provided ticketing system (currently Remedy)Document changes in status of trouble tickets in ticketing system and provide updates to customer until issue is resolvedPerform client-side service incident troubleshooting and fault isolationResolve all IT trouble tickets assigned to the 61 MDS or work with appropriate organization/agency to resolveSupport hardware and software for End User Devices (EUD) in coordination with the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Global Service Center (GSC)Communicate incidents and planned outages to the user community and to DHA’s Operations and Sustainment Branch (OSB) support teamCreate, administer, and maintain Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy objects (GPO) within the Site Organizational Unit (OU) as Site Administrator permissions allowReport Site changes or maintenance that could impact the OSB’s monitoring, visibility, or access to any Enterprise managed equipment or servicesPerform and provide results to the OSB of post-outage checks following Enterprise service outagesAssist 61 MDS Property Custodians with pick-up and drop-off of equipment from the IT Computer WarehousePerform tech refresh of 61 MDS IT equipment to include removing hard drives from old computersDocument equipment adds/moves/changes as required by 61 MDS Property CustodiansProvide support for medical information systems (MIS) deployed to and used by the 61 MDSParticipate in all exercises, inspections, and special eventsRecord hours worked in the Defense Medical Human Resources System – internet (DMHRSi) system, or other system, as required by the MTFOther duties as required.

Work is performed full-time on site in Los Angeles, CA.

 

In compliance with California's Pay Transparency requirements, the following information is being disclosed. If the position applied to is not located in California, the following information may not apply. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Trace salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, Trace provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, flexible spending accounts, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, company holidays and paid time off (PTO).

 

Salary Minimum:   $50,000

Salary Maximum:  $86,200

Minimum Qualifications:

An active, in-scope US Government issued Current Secret clearance

Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

CGRC/CAP or CASP+ or CCSP or Cloud+ or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC or CISM or CISSO or FITSP-M or GCIA or GCSA or GCIH or GSLC or GICSP or CISSP-ISSMP or CISSP or equivalent or Microsoft: MCSA or higher level certifications. Desired Qualifications: Experience in certifying and accrediting Air Force information systems and networks Expert knowledge of and experience with Cybersecurity requirements as defined by Public Laws, National, DoD, and DAF guidance, e.g., FISMA, DoDD 8500.1, DoDI 8500.2, DoDI 8510.01 RMF for DoD IT, DODINST 8570/01M, NIST Special Publications Series 800, etc. Education: BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement for this WRC OR 5+ years of relevant experience.
