**Overview** GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems Administrator (Network Monitoring) for Air Force Intel System. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsite position. **Responsibilities** Establishes and maintains smooth operation of computer systems (to include operating systems, software and hardware) in networked or stand-alone configurations, maintains system integrity, and upgrades systems and/or servers as required. May create and document new methods supporting network/system operations and implement changes to procedures. Consults with support teams, help desks, customers and other technical staff in the resolution of problems, coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks/servers, identifies recurring problems and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems. May plan for the transition of development and/or production environments to new technologies, utilize system software to monitor the performance of system files, manage system data to maintain performance efficiencies and/or study system requirements to determine proper server installation methods and procedures. + Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. + Plan, coordinate, and implement network/system security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware. + Provides regular monitoring and analysis regarding short and long-range planning for in-house systems. + Prepares or ensures that appropriate documentation exists, including operational instructions. + Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate administration tasks. + Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes. + Will install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software related problems. TheSystemAdministrator will work closely with network professionals and IT personnel to update cyber security measures, install hardware or softwaredevicesand troubleshoot problems.  This position will ensure that the organizationalsystemsalign with mission goals andobjectives. In this role, you will: + Support the implementation,maintenanceand operations ofNetwork Monitoring tools (currently SolarWinds)and its supporting infrastructure, integrating with otherenterprisesystems. + Analyzenetwork monitoring system needs for the organization. + Implement andmaintainsystem securityin accordance withall directives and mandates. + Assign and update role-based access control for network monitoring tools. + Optimize and evaluate thenetwork monitoring systems continuously. + Perform system upgrades and maintenance on a routinebasis + Conduct break-fix, problem-solving, and restoration actions when necessary. + Attend planning and requirements meetings with IT staff, program managersand customers asrequired   + Review/reset priorities to address the client mission and high priority initiatives. + Build andmaintainrelationships with other groups toaccomplishclientobjectives.  + Be able to troubleshoot web applications. IE: reviewing logs to diagnose issues, finding cause to issues brought up by customers, and troubleshooting issue between web application and Database + Windows server experience, comfortable patching, updating, and troubleshooting OS level issues + The ability to understand and write basic SQL queries + The ability to write SOP’s and other documentation + Understanding of DISA/STIGs + Some experience with Intenet Information Services (IIS) **Qualifications** High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience) Clearance Required: TS/SCI Required Skills and Experience: + CurrentCompTIA Security+ And one of the followingMS-700 (Microsoft Certified Teams Administrator), OR LFCS (Linux Foundation Certified System Admin) OR technology specific certifications + 3-5years configuring and operating SolarWindsor other network monitoring tools + Experience as a system administrator in a mid to large Windows environment + Be able to perform daily system health checks + Experience developing standard operating procedures to perform system functions Preferred Skills and Experience + Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills + Attention to detail,good communicationskills,andgoodtimemanagement skills + Enterprise level service managementexperience + Some networking experience or the ability to understand networking concepts \#NSS #DSG #TMK **Company Overview** GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
