What you will be doing:

As a Senior Systems Administrator,, you'll be

Monitors, escalates, and re-mediate NAS & SAN device/application {access, performance, events} alerts to identify/ potential incidents

Provide storage provisioning for NAS/CAS/SAN systems

Providing level three DAS, SAN, NAS Configuring and administering support and expertise as it relates to the storage environment as needed

Developing a plan for data storage infrastructure.

Configuring and provisioning storage and Monitoring storage performance.

Backing up data to prevent loss.

Addressing problems promptly.

Ensuring disaster recovery strategies are in place

Deploys, configures, maintains, & documents enterprise storage area network and network attached storage components

Responds to failure and alert event notifications 24 x 7 to ensure capacity demands

Responds to incident management tickets related to storage capacity, performance, access, configurations modifications

Participates in design & deployment of storage requirements for enterprise applications

Provisions new LUNs

Storage monitoring, prevising, configuration and patching management, and ongoing maintenance and support of the storage enterprise in multiple datacenters

Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of Storage and SAN infrastructure based on business requirements and adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural models

Provide business critical support and maintenance of the FC SAN switch and storage environments across the global regions

Proactively manage SAN storage environments

Manage automated fault call logging, hardware inventory for maintenance contracts, SAN documentation and diagrams

Storage Design and Engineering, Planning, Implementation and Support of all storage networks file systems technologies such as NFS, CIFS, SMB, iSCSI, NDMP and FCoE

Participate in weekend work, morning coverage, on-call rota, DR tests, quarterly maintenance activities

Participates in identifying business requirements

Demonstrating a solid technical understanding of other storage and backup technologies and how they can be used to solve business problems

Demonstrated skills in thinking out of the box and in developing complete technical solutions from concept to production based on industry experience

Qualifications for Storage and Backup Administrator
