HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Responsible for activities related to system administration. Manages domains, admits user permissions across platforms, develops strategies for disaster recovery, offers technical support to users, and ensures compliance with regulations and policiesAssigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work. Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functionsProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systemsManage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systemsProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemProvide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customersProvide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution processConfigure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systemsInstall/load operating system and application softwareIsolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereofTroubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performanceIntegrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systemsWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master’s with 10 years of experienceRequired Skillset:Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer serviceAbility to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePointExcellent attention to detailExcellent communications skills and ability to interact with clientsExperience in managing domains, auditing user permissions across platforms, developing strategies for disaster recovery, offering technical support to users, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.Experience with Powershell scriptingSecurity Clearance Level: TS/SCIRequired Certification(s):DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractIAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent Computing Env: Computing Env: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)Location: On Customer SiteAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activityTravel may be required to support the missionGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays#GDITPriority
