Flexible working from home arrangements granted on a case by case basis. Length of contract: 12 Months Contract extensions: 2 x 12 months Security clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Rates: $65 - $80 per hour (inc. super) Services Australia is seeking multiple Systems Analyst Professionals to design, create, evaluate and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems. They may propose modifications to the existing systems and processes, or design new systems to meet user needs as expressed in requirements documentations or user stories. Systems Analysts are responsible for designing and analysing ICT systems and products. They gather requirements for process improvements and new features by engaging business users and development and testing teams. They are responsible for writing functional specifications from the business requirements. The System Analyst will be responsible to: + deliver flexible, quality service and products to improve customer experience + work under the general direction of senior staff to deliver results + make ethical, evidence based decisions + build rapport and maintain stakeholder relationships. Key duties may include, but are not limited to: + perform analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements + support the creation and implementation of solutions to meet business needs + support the creation and maintenance of solution documents + provide support to daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions + adhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvement + perform technical application assessments considering risks and benefits + conduct testing activities such as test coverage reviews, formal or informal test execution and test planning + collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, solve problems and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects + undertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications and design documents + prepare correspondence such as reports and technical documentation for review by senior staff + escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutions + assist with cost analysis activities as required + support the life cycle of changes and improvements to systems + provide training, guidance and support for new staff where required + exercise delegations in line with legislation and guidelines as required Essential Criteria + NIL Desirable Criteria + The Candidate's employment history, prior experience in undertaking the same or similar role for an organisation of the same or similar size and complexity as Services Australia. + The Candidate's professional qualifications, relevant to the position being applied for. + The Candidate's professional accreditations, if applicable to the position being applied for. + The Candidate's skills relevant to the position being applied for. + The response describing how the Candidate's skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications would contribute to the position being applied for.
