The Solution Architect will provide technical leadership in the deployment of ALM (Bitbucket, Jira, Polarian, Stages, Confluence), SIM (Ansys, Altair, MathWorks), PLM (Teamcenter), and other engineering applications. This role involves collaborating with product engineering groups to define and implement technical, process, and infrastructure requirements, track milestones, and manage issues and risks.

Responsibilities:

Define and continuously develop the EES portfolio, including ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) and SIM (Simulation).Administer and use applications in ALM (Bitbucket, Jira, Polarian, Stages, Confluence) and SIM (Ansys, Altair, MathWorks).Design and support architecture in alignment with overall IT strategy and business objectives.Administer and support global application systems.Manage ALM, SIM, PLM, and CAD applications in a Windows & Linux HPC workstation environment.Lead and support team organization goals.Understand R&D design and release processes.Facilitate testing by creating test cases, conducting system/integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing.Stay current with technology and assess the impact of hardware/software upgrades on new and existing applications.Prioritize and execute tasks effectively.Communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.Provide technical leadership and direction on assigned projects.Adhere to IT processes and guidelines.Maintain a strong customer-service orientation.Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented.Exhibit excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.Be willing to travel.Drive IT technology initiatives to support engineering and technology roadmaps.Promote continuous improvement and optimal use of technology

Mandatory Skills:

7+ years of proven experience in solution analyst, architecture, innovation projects, engineering development processes and IT infrastructure.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Proficiency in various programming languages and technologies.Knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise architecture frameworks.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with any of the ALM applications (Bitbucket, Jira, Polarian, Stages, Confluence) and SIM applications (Ansys, Altair, MathWorks).Knowledge of incident and service request handling with ServiceNOW.Expertise in Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts.Good understanding of engineering license management (e.g., flexlm, rlm, lmx).Experience working with Electric, Electronic & Software Teams to support the implementation and standardization of a new Electrical Design Framework.Experience with Azure Cloud migration from on-premise to cloud.Basic understanding of ITIL.

Education/Experience:

A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field Mechanical/Electrical/Software).Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of engineering software solutions.Minimum of 3 years of experience in ALM and SIM administration.Experience with Electric, Electronic & Software tools (ALM, E-CAD, etc.) and processes (SPICE) is a plus.Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative, and suggest improvements for departmental processes/procedures.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of training users on Engineering Systems applications, making presentations to internal audiences, and writing basic documentation.Proficiency with Windows commands/utilities.Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environments.Very good English skills
