Compass Point is looking for a Systems Analyst to join our team supporting USSOCOM. In this role, you will be a part of an enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) process for USSOCOM locations across several networks and mission-critical applications. This position supports technical needs for services provided on SOCRATES, CENTRIX/BICES, NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS, and designated coalition networks, solicited by USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed locations. Candidate must possess Active DoD Top Secret clearance and obtain DoDM 8570 certifications along with a combination of education and demonstrated experience/training on networks and applications specific to the SIE / USSOCOM enterprise (SOCRATES, CENTRIX/BICES, JWICS), IT service management, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and other relevant domains. Candidate must be able to work autonomously and exercise independent judgement on resolving complex technical issues without oversight as well as recommending creative/innovative ways to enhance the overall SIE ITSM. Assists in planning technology projects and evaluating performance results to support project success.
Provides technical assistance across multiple assignments under supervision.
Interfaces with end-users to help resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues, demonstrating familiarity with standard desktop operating systems and office software suites.
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
May be required to work on a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Specific Responsibilities:
Assists in analyzing and troubleshooting basic computer issues, ensuring technology meets program needs.
Supports system studies to help the program make effective use of equipment, personnel, and processes.
Helps prepare workflow charts and diagrams to document operations performed by equipment and programs.
Works under direct supervision, handling routine issues and escalating complex problems as needed. Required Skills:
Basic understanding of technical support processes, including research, diagnosis, documentation, and resolution of issues with Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, MS Office applications, email, and internet connections.
Ability to determine when to escalate issues to specialized teams (e.g., Desktop Support, Network Administration).
Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and applications pertinent to a service desk environment.
Fundamental experience in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of operating systems within a helpdesk or service desk environment.
Qualifications
Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification
Must be able to maintain DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification via continuing education requirements or re certification
Possess current Secret clearance
Must have TS/SCI eligibility
