Position Summary The Systems and Reporting Support Generalist is a member of the Registrar’s Systems and Reporting team and serves as the University Registrar’s Office as the webmaster, report support, data specialist, and systems technician. The Systems and Reporting Support Generalist serves as an active participant in implementing and testing new tools, workflow processes, and strategic initiatives designed to increase departmental effectiveness. The Systems and Reporting Support Generalist is primarily responsible for technological, systems, and reporting-running functions within the University Registrar’s Office (URO), including their interdependence with university wide systems, and provides functional support for the Systems and Reporting Team. Additionally, this position requires a solid understanding of how to leverage reporting to support student needs and the institution’s strategic goals. Minimum Qualifications

Focuses on the accuracy and integrity of data for reporting to parties both internal and external to the URO and the campus community. Prepare and submit the National Student Clearinghouse reports as well as ad hoc report requests for directory request information. Provides support to Systems and Reporting Analysts in correction and updating Student DataMart. Reviews reports and data analysis for internal and external customers. Coordinates creation and maintenance of security roles for Banner student systems. Represents the URO in the university community to ensure regular transparent communication regarding policies and procedures. Assists the Systems and Reporting Team and the entire URO with technical issues and informs supervisor of specific needs. Key Responsibility Optimizing Processes and Review/Maintain Business Documentation Essential Tasks Analyze current business processes and existing policies and make recommendations and updates to drive continuous improvement and maximize resources in the Systems and Reporting area. Supports hardware and software for the URO, including Ellucian Banner. Maintains inventory of technology within the URO. Collaborate with staff, faculty, administrators, and technical staff to analyze, research, and resolve complex system issues once the information is applied in the various systems. Use Banner data and consult with key Banner users to accurately interpret, troubleshoot, and maintain the accuracy of the data. Represents the URO in the university community to ensure regular transparent communication regarding policies and procedures. Identify, develop, and maintain standard procedures/documentation and operational calendars for the URO. Key Responsibility Timely, Accurate, and Friendly Customer Service Essential Tasks Provide timely, accurate, and friendly customer service to students, staff, and faculty who call or email with questions. Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming; or Bachelor’s Degree with some computer related coursework; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree must be from an appropriately accredited institutions.
Additional Qualifications:
Journey competency level requires an additional six months experience.
Advanced competency level requires an additional one (1) year of experience.
