POSITION SUMMARY:
The System Architect, Surveillance Technology is responsible for the administration and support of all I.T related infrastructure associated with the CCTV. This position takes responsibility for ensuring the stability and maintenance of the IP Networked Surveillance system whilst provisioning for the training, support, and guidance to surveillance technology personnel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Equipment Installation
• Oversee install of new software or upgrades to the CCTV Systems.
• Configuration of systems software and associated devices
• Audit and control of systems access and event logs
• Apply appropriate testing and fault finding to newly installed software/equipment to ensure sound functionality
• Maintain & regulate client users of CCTV Systems
2. Equipment Servicing, Fault Finding and Repairs
• Conduct scheduled maintenance to all CCTV equipment used to support Security, Surveillance, DICJ, PJ, Corporate Investigations, and Gaming operations.
• Employ effective fault/bug finding techniques to rectify equipment failure.
• Maintain PC’s and applications associated with the Systems
• Liaise with IT division regarding maintaining the stability of the IP Networked Surveillance System
3. Equipment Failure Response
• Plan for appropriate response to software/equipment failure.
• Evaluate and confirm reported faults and failures.
• Instigate repair or rectification of defective equipment.
4. Inventory and Stock Control
• Ensure workshop stock and inventory levels are appropriately maintained and managed.
• Maintain cost effective use of stock and inventory.
5. Leadership and Initiative
• Provide leadership and direction to the team.
• Show initiative and involvement in all activities undertaken by the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical /Education and Experience
• Certificate IV in Electronics or Advanced Certificate in Electronics or similar
• CCTV Surveillance (IP based system knowledge preferred)
• Converged Surveillance Applications
• Video Analytics, Facial Recognition and Biometrics (highly desirable)
• IT system administration skills
• Cisco Certified Engineer or Equivalent (Preferred)
• Experience in practical desktop hardware and software
• Experience in Microsoft Window’s Desktop and Server Operating Systems
• Auto CAD Software
