WHO WE ARE
This role is for the eTech Naval Helicopter Programs (NHP) Future Capabilities Lead Engineer. The role supports the Naval Helicopter Programs through its efforts on contract, IRAD, B&P and CE&TO activities. It entails working closely with eTech and Sikorsky Technical, Program Office, Chiefs, and business development teams.
THE WORK
On a day to day basis this role entails:
• The planning, prioritization and management of NHP IRAD projects, annual POM inputs and Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) projects.
• Developing Subsystem Roadmaps and supporting the various maritime customers.
• Ensuring alignment with eTech product line initiatives.
• Defining the next generation MH-60 Mission Systems and Cockpit Architectures.
WHO YOU ARE
The ideal candidate for this position has:
• A track record of proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Experience proactively identifying and implementing productivity and quality improvements.
• Experience managing multiple conflicting priorities.
• An active Secret Clearance or higher.
• Problem-solving acumen with strong skills in decision-making (related to cost, schedule, technical and risk), as well as closure (dedication to close open items/issues) to ensure mission success.
• Demonstrated experience with strong team building and relationship building skills.

Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated Technical, Cost, Schedule and People leadership across multiple concurrent activities.
• Strong Communication Skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain internal and external customer relationships.
• In-depth understanding of Systems and Software Architectures.
• Ability to proactively identify and implement productivity and quality improvements.
• In depth understanding of Open architectures and MOSA (Modular Open Systems Approach) and Mission Systems.
• In depth knowledge of the USW Undersea Warfare) and ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) missions and supporting avionics.
• Familiar with digital transformation and 1LMX initiatives (MBE, Agile, JIRA, Atlassian tools, Test Automation).
• Secret Clearance is required to start with ability to obtain a Top Secret.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of multiple technical disciplines relevant to this roll (Systems Engineering development, Software development, Integration and Test).
• Demonstrated experience in leading large teams and working across large organizations.
• Good facilitator whose decisions lead to the resolution of existing issues.
• Previous helicopter crew experience.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $153,200 - $293,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
