How a Systems Architect will make an impact:
Manage fact finding, analysis and development of final reports and delivery of presentations related to information technology.
Responsible for designing, leading and managing the delivery of mission critical systems and software products.
Conduct organizational analysis and evaluations to determine functional requirements
Work closely with versatile systems and engineering specialists to prioritize customer requirements, define goals, and refine business objectives.
Coordinates with Network, Security, and Program/Project Management to ensure team alignment on key initiatives and dependencies between groups.
Brief and convey technical information to customer leadership and stakeholders.
Interface directly with other system owners, customer leads, and end users to elicit new ideas and innovations that can be built into future systems deliveries.
Develop and apply engineering and design methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces, and applications and solutions.
Senior level experience with design, development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers
The individual should have a strong understanding of the critical role a Systems Architect plays in delivering value to end users
Participates in special projects as required
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Required Education and Experience: BA/BS + 10 years
Certifications: DoD Approved Baseline 8570 IAT Level III certification is required prior to start date.
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph prior to starting
Required Technical Skills: Evaluate information as it relates to requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation.
Required Skills: Windows systems, Linux, RedHat 6.5, Oracle, SQL Server 2012, Microsoft IIS, MS Hyper-V/VMWare/ESX/Xen Hypervisors, Windows Server 2012r2/2016, Database, and Data Management, Storage, Switching, Firewall, and Security Systems.
Hands on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts
Experience with SAN, NAS and iSCSI storage implementations
Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments
Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments
Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies
