**Job Description**
**Summarized Purpose:**
We are presenting an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Systems Developer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in performing the systems analysis, building, development, testing, and support of moderately complex technical information system components.
**Education/Experience** **:**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification
+ Previous roles showcasing the proficiencies necessary to fulfill the job responsibilities (similar to 3+ years’) or an equivalent blend of education, training, & experience
**Major Job Responsibilities** **:**
+ Design and develop system components and services based on specifications within a collaborative team environment.
+ Perform systems analysis and prepare documentation including requirements, specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
+ Conduct unit and system testing, and support validation testing as needed.
+ Assist with database design and optimization in coordination with DBAs.
+ Coordinate with Operations staff for application deployment and support.
+ Analyze and resolve support requests from business partners, including training when required.
+ Ensure development activities meet quality and compliance standards.
+ Apply company policies and procedures to resolve moderately complex issues using sound judgment.
+ Build productive working relationships across internal teams with occasional external interactions.
+ Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse (EDW) solutions.
+ Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
+ Support reporting and analytics platforms in collaboration with business analysts and data engineers.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** :
+ Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
+ Hands-on experience with AWS services
+ Proficiency in relational databases such as Postgres and Redshift
+ Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
+ Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture
+ Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other RDBMS platforms
+ Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
+ Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages
+ Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data integration
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
**Must Have skills:**
+ Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Postgres, Redshift)
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
+ Ability to work collaboratively across teams
+ Prior experience in data warehousing projects
**Good to have skills:**
+ Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
+ Experience with AWS stack
+ Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell)
+ Exposure to SQL Server, Oracle, or other RDBMS platforms
+ Understanding of compliance and validation processes
**Working Hours:**
**India:** 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST
**Philippines:** 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PST
