We are seeking a talented Systems\/Digital Engineer to support PM IS&A digital engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, security practices, and operations. In this role, the candidate will work closely with Army Intelligence teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle, automate security testing, and ensure compliance with security standards. Additionally, the candidate will work across all functional disciplines and integrated product teams in a holistic product lifecycle management environment.\n
Duties:\n\nDesign, deploy, and maintain DevSecOps infrastructure supporting multiple teams across multiple development, test, and production environments.\nAssist with the development, testing, maintenance and debugging of CI\/CD pipelines.\nDefine and implement DevSecOps processes, policies, and procedures.\nGrow DevSecOps awareness and improve adoption through advocacy, integrating DevSecOps into the greater product lifecycle management.\nDesign and implement security tools and automation scripts to improve security posture.\nCollaborate with Army Intelligence teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.\nSupport security reviews, audits, and penetration testing.\nImplement and maintain security controls in classified and unclassified environments.\nMonitor and respond to security incidents in accordance with DoD RMF policies.\nEnsure compliance with security standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, DoD STIGs).\nStay up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies.\nTransition legacy processes to digital engineering practices and support other duties as assigned.\n\n
Required Skills & Experience:\n\nExperience employing Agile software methodologies and tools: Scrum, Kanban, Jira.\nExperience with the Agile software development lifecycle and digital engineering integration with product lifecycle management.\nExperience with software BOMs incorporated into product BOMs.\nExperience using Linux and Windows operating systems.\nExperience administering Red Hat Linux within an Active Directory domain.\nExperience with cloud hosting and security (e.g., AWS, Azure).\nExperience with additional\/advanced networking concepts, e.g., IP, DNS, SSL, DHCP, LDAP, NFS, CIFS, SMTP, NTP, Kerberos, TLS, PKI, routing, BGP, IPsec, MACsec.\nExperience writing or maintaining programs\/scripts written in additional languages, e.g., PowerShell, C\/C++, Java, JavaScript, BASH, Python, Matlab.\nExperience with cross domain solutions (e.g., Forcepoint\/Everfox).\nExperience using and administering GitLab CI\/CD pipelines and infrastructure, including security and quality tool integration with, e.g., Nessus, Trivy, SonarQube.\nExperience using or administering additional container technologies, e.g., Istio, Helm, MinIO.\nExperience writing, maintaining, or employing Infrastructure as Code technologies, e.g., Ansible, Terraform.\nExperience using or administering monitoring tools, e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Splunk.\nExperience using or administering binary repository tools, e.g., Nexus, Artifactory.\nExperience using or administering web application stacks, e.g., JavaScript\/Node\/React, Python\/Flask\/Gunicorn, Java\/Tomcat, Apache, Ngnix.\nExperience using or administering database tools, e.g., MariaDB, InfluxDB, MongoDB.\nExperience using build systems, e.g., Visual Studio Build, MSBuild, CMake, Maven, Ant.\nExperience writing and maintaining GitLab CI\/CD pipelines.\nExperience administrating DevSecOps technologies (e.g., GitLab, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Nexus) in a production environment.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and shifting priorities.\n\n
Qualifications:\n
Bachelor's Degree required. Degree may be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n
At least ten (10) years of related experience is required.\n
Travel: Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.\n
