Systems Engineer
Job Title: Systems Engineer Job Description The Systems Engineer will collaborate closely with software, hardware, and mechanical engineering departments to ensure the successful design and delivery of a lunar product. This role involves working intimately with customers to lead requirement definition and compile design and interface requirements. The Systems Engineer will support the development phase of the project, focusing on requirements, design, and implementation. Responsibilities + Define, control, and execute all processes needed for successful design. + Derive product and system requirements from customer requirements/specifications. + Lead requirement definition for spaceflight projects, focusing on Earth observation, risk management, and hardware/software integration. + Engage in documentation writing and requirements management. Essential Skills + 5 years of Systems Engineering experience with space products. + Experience in requirements management, spaceflight, and requirements definition. + Strong working knowledge of software, hardware, and other engineering disciplines. + Experience working as a Systems Engineer during the design phase of product development. Additional Skills & Qualifications + New product development experience. + Space flight experience. Work Environment This role offers the opportunity to design products that will quickly be deployed in space. With a smaller team, candidates have the chance to work on the full product life cycle. The current environment has more programs than engineers, and products are customized per program/customer, used in multiple programs including lunar and Mars missions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
