Work on leading edge projects for Defence engagements Work with purpose delivering critical Defence projects and programs for Australia Investment in you - learning opportunities, experienced mentors and accessible leadership

At DPS, you’ll find purpose, impact and huge opportunity. Join us and help make it happen.

A real endeavour, achieved with you

As Australia’s multi-disciplinary advisory and business partner of choice for clients in defence, government and infrastructure, we deliver complex things that matter. It's not always an easy task, but anything worthwhile seldom is. Great things are rarely accomplished alone. We’re building something remarkable. Now we just need you.

A real endeavour, shaped by you

As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible to provide design, development, and documentation support, including integration planning, concept development, requirement derivation, threat analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and system engineering management.

To succeed in this endeavour you will be:

Engaging with various stakeholders, including engineering and design authorities, integration authorities, and logistic support. Providing subject matter expertise to support co-design activities and optimise the application of standards for interoperability. Managing and supporting the collation of standards across various technical domains in collaboration with stakeholders. Continuously improving methods and processes for managing engineering standards and profiles. Contributing to the preparation and presentation of technical submissions and briefs to senior committees. Preparing written briefs to support project assurance activities.

A real endeavour, driven by you

Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:

You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance. A PV clearance is highly desirable for this role. In-depth understanding of engineering design and processes, particularly as applied to undersea warfare, command and control of uncrewed systems, and electromagnetic manoeuvre warfare. Familiarity with defence force warfighting and operational activities. Proficiency in architectural processes and systems thinking, particularly using models-based systems engineering toolsets. A higher education qualification in engineering, computer science, informatics, information science, or cybernetics is highly desired.

More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a drive to manage critical projects and programs that build sovereign capability and deliver complex things that matter.
