Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical support for Picatinny Arsenal.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities Plan, manage, and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, and documentation past, current, and future systems, and systems infrastructure drawings and configurations. Define and execute engineering activities within the scope of systems support. Serve as lead planner for exercises, experiments, research and development, and operations. Coordinate and correspond with the IA to ensure all operational software is approve for end user access. Provide analysis of the overall health and operational capability of systems; advise and recommend space utilization and equipment placement; coordinate and recommend prioritization of maintenance efforts relative to systems and infrastructure based on inputs received from the supported functional areas. Coordinate with the government on system requirements (e.g., systems, software, user and admin accounts, permissions, data, etc.); including coordinating sourcing of operational system data and provide system expertise and technical advice to the government. Assess and recommend technology needs and conduct technical feasibility analyses for all systems technologies. Qualifications

6+ years experience in system engineering.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must be Security+ CE certified (or other certification in compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II).  Must be CCNP certified.  Thorough understanding of application software, operating systems, networks, storage platforms, and how they relate to system architecture.  Experience working on each stage of the system development life cycle from initiation through deployment/sustainment.  Demonstrated proficiency with process modeling and developing workflow diagrams.  Able to elicit and interpret requirements and translate to technical specifications/system design following best practices and design patterns.  Able to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner.  Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards.  Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations.  Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff.  Proven ability to understand the strategic and tactical approach to projects and handle multiple projects concurrently.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
