Job Description
Analyze statements of need and business requirements. Evaluate communications equipment and provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system-level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements. Develop solutions with cross-discipline engineering teams and document technical analysis. Perform analysis of data flows and data logs, and analyze the performance of the system against established systems performance parameters such as latency, availability, and capacity. This role is customer-facing.
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3 years of system engineering experience3+ years of experience using DOORS for requirements management System architecture experience Implementing architectural changes and customer-driven enhancements to complex systemsExperience with full life-cycle development, test, implementation, and long-term supportDeveloping technical product roadmapsManagement of the configuration process, functional analysis, timeline analysis, operational scenarios, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studiesIntegrating with external systems operated by external companies or agenciesAnalyzing performance of complex systems through statistical analysisPerforming technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systemsEliciting and managing customer requirementsExperience working in a highly integrated team environment with software, hardware, and network engineersKnowledge of contemporary technologies applicable in addressing product and market needsExperience working in communications systemsExperience working in high availability systems with understanding of RMA and redundant architectures and design
