Responsibilities:
The System Engineer will support requirements analysis, trade studies, system and interface design, system integrationThis position will work closely with subject matter experts, software engineers, PMs, hardware designers, and the software and firmware team.Successful candidate can look forward to a fast-paced, diverse work environment providing Engineering support for multiple project teamsSupport internal and external interface development and documentationDefine processes for technical platforms, system specifications, interfaces, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibilityDevelop new and novel methodologies for improving system integrationEmploy new technologies to solve problems and then apply those solutions
Requirements:
8 + years bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or +5 years with MastersStrong electrical engineering fundamentals, including analog and digital design.Understanding and development of "system architecture" designs with Camera designsExperience in the following areas:High-speed digital design workCamera designs & star trackersMust have familiarity with “Space level” parts:Manufacturers and vendors. NASA Part screening levels VPX design/specification+ (plus but not needed) Understanding of low voltage power regulation solutionsIntegration of hardware into multi-functional systemsFamiliarity with the challenges of taking a product from design through to production.PCB layout and routing rules understandingUnderstanding and development of system architecture designs with (NASA level) space parts
Preferences:
Radiation Parts levels for “TID, SEU, SEL.”Fundamentals of signal and power integrityRelated work experience in “Space level designs.”
Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000/year
