Position Summary
As a Systems Engineer specializing in applications, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing IT services and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include incident management, service change management, and IT service management, ensuring the smooth operation of IT services and systems. You will also be involved in problem management, database technology administration, and SAP system management across various platforms.
Key Areas of Focus for this Role
IT Incident Management:
Investigate, troubleshoot, and prevent the recurrence of IT incidents. Describe common incidents and countermeasures, and follow proper notification and escalation procedures. Utilize event management systems for logging and tracking incidents. Provide detailed descriptions of 1st line resolution procedures and incident action plans.IT Service Change Management:
Implement routine changes in a live IT service environment. Generate schedules and time estimates for IT service changes. Document procedures and changes made in IT services. Provide status reports for implemented IT service changes to senior management.IT Service Management (ITSM):
Conduct framework setup processes and training activities for IT outsourcing services. Assist in examining systems and networks to ensure smooth IT service operations. Generate reports for potential technical and administrative risks and propose changes in IT services.Problem Management:
Perform major problem management activities to improve IT service quality. Monitor specific problems and develop solutions to resolve them in a timely manner. Track and resolve common service-related problems.Control-M for zOS Application Management:
Demonstrate knowledge of Control-M for zOS and associated services. Explain basic configuration requirements and operational considerations. Perform Control-M for zOS product installation, upgrade, configuration, integration. Apply appropriate tools and methodologies necessary to ensure vendor support. Remain current with vendor documentation and technical support relations.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience operating within a mainframe environment within a large enterprise or equivalent combination of education and experience College degree preferred Working knowledge of IT incident management, service change management, and IT service management. Experience with Control-M (zOS and distributed) application administration. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to a level of creating documents which can be shared with clients. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Understand a large-scale 24×7 production environment Strong problem solving and analytical skills with knowledge of problem analysis Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
