Systems Engineer
**Description** We are seeking a Systems Engineer with a diverse background in hardware engineering, network engineering, and requirements management to support the United States Air Force in its goal of developing an interoperable system of system in a cloud-based command and control (CBC2) environment. The Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS CBC2) goals include achieving alignment with the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) vision of improved information sharing, layered security, common data and architecture standards, system resiliency, faster implementation, and more effective cross-domain capabilities, including the ability for any sensor to inform any shooter across all domains. The position requires an individual with strong technical project management skills. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, team skills and DoD technical project management experience. They will be expected to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short deadlines. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead systems engineering from requirements definition through design and implementation. + Conduct site surveys and support installation/configuration of physical systems. + Develop technical reviews and documentation, including requirements, interfaces, and architecture. + Collaborate with teams to integrate hardware, cloud, software, and network solutions. + Recommend and evaluate new technologies to enhance system capabilities. + Maintain expertise in hardware and software interconnection (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.). + Apply technical expertise to solve complex problems in innovative ways. **Qualifications** U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI. + Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. + Proven experience leading systems engineering projects, including requirements definition, design, and implementation. + Strong background in hardware engineering, network configuration, and systems integration. + Hands-on experience with network technologies (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and physical hardware installations. + Familiarity with cloud configurations, software architecture, and system security best practices. + Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for system automation. + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical scenarios. + Strong communication skills for collaboration and documentation. **Desired Skills:** + Experience working within an Agile framework. + Skills in diagramming technical solutions to effectively document and communicate system designs. + Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in IT and cybersecurity. + Experience with CI/CD Pipelines.
