Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has an exciting career opportunity for a **Systems Engineer** III who will provide technical assistance to the Director of Modeling & Simulation Enterprise Engineering, who is responsible for chairing design reviews, establishing architecture and design standards, managing Enterprise Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and synchronizing M&S across the Agency. **Responsibilities** + Perform analyst duties to elicit stakeholder requirements and mission needs + Define requirements and perform functional analysis using Model-based Systems Engineering techniques and tools + Draft and review technical documents + Support technical reviews + Facilitate M&S and digital engineering transformation initiatives + Represent Enterprise Engineering in agency tiger teams and working groups + Perform other duties as assigned **Qualifications** **Required:** + Bachelor’s degree in the STEM field + 7+ years of related professional experience + Active Secret clearance + Practical experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and other languages typically used for system modeling (i.e., DoD Architecture framework and UML) + Experience using MBSE tools, such as IBM Rhapsody, and integrated requirements tools, such as DOORs Next Generation (NG) + Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical and non-MBSE-trained people + Experience following MBSE processes, such as IBM Harmony **Desired:** + MS in applicable field + MBSE certifications and training (i.e., OMG, INCOSE, etc.) + Ballistic Missile Defense System (MDS) domain experience working in MDA + Experience with definition, design, development, verification and validation, and analysis of MDS M&S (ground test and constructive or distributed virtual simulation of the MDS and its elements and components + Experience with analysis, test, and systems engineering of M&S for one or more elements of the MDS (i.e., Patriot, THAAD, GMD, Sensors, or C2) + Exposure to MDA test events and activities supported by M&S products and services + Ability to work with a diverse team of engineers (geographically diverse) of different perspectives, skills, and backgrounds + Energetic, motivated, self-starter **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems. + In-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge. + Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission. + Familiarity with DOD and MDA processes and procedures. + Ability to work in a high-paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership. + Proficient with Microsoft software applications. + Ability to execute and complete tasks with no supervision. + Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations. + Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. **How you’ll grow** At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
