Systems Engineer
**Job Description Summary** Medication safety & automation represents a strategic growth area for BD. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the successful integration of BD solutions into hospital environment. They will work closely mainly with the IT departments within a hospital environment. Become a maker of possible with us! **Medication Management Solutions (MMS)** With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams. **Key Responsibilities** + Conduct discussions of BD solutions’ technical requirements with the customer. + Support sales in solution discussions to define technical scope + Manage VM server deployment and software installation (deploy OVF, install MSI’s and/or turnkey solutions) for BD products to meet established project delivery timelines. + Collaborate with project managers in determining priorities and risks associated to specific projects. + Comply with all Integration Engineer Policies and Procedures. + Collaborate with peers in other regions to ensure that processes, procedures and product knowledge is up to date. + Provide written and verbal communications to team and client regarding technical requirements, issues and status of project. + Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. + Provide Customer/Distributor Helpdesk and remote support for customer Windows environment. + Provide product feedback, technical insight, and customer requirements to Product Development. + Adhere to organization and department policies, quality procedures and protocols. + Actively engage with Quality Management System requirements + Ensure all relevant processes are performed per internal SOP’s and Service documentation **Skills/Experience:** Essential: + Degree in Computer Science IT or proven working successful experience in IT (Solid IT skills in the use of Windows, Database, Server based solutions, VMs, Networking Administration or a mixture of these). + Ability to self-educate in unfamiliar IT environments. + Ability to take on and complete tasks with minimal guidance and be self-motivated. + Fluent in Portuguese and English language, both verbal and written. + Intermediate in Spanish, most verbal. + Current drivers’ license and passport. + Ability to work from home. + Effective communication skills and ability to interface with different nationalities and backgrounds. + Analytical and problem solving skills. + Evidence of effective planning, prioritization, and organizing skills. + Ability to think in a creative manner. + Effectively resolve new problems as they arise to maintain project timelines or support of customers. + Proactive self-management owning and completing tasks as needed. Desirable: + Experience in VM and software deployment. + Experience in deploying BD/CareFusion solutions. + Experience within healthcare IT environment. **IV Travel requirements & Location of the position:** Under normal conditions: The role will require travel across the Region in support of colleagues & customers as required including overnight travel to meetings, training courses and conferences outside of the Region will be necessary from time to time. The position is home-based with daily travel to customer sites in the territory within the Region.
