The Systems Engineer role is responsible for the managing GMP systems and equipment. The Systems Engineer will coordinate with various departments and suppliers to perform system installations, upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting of manufacturing/lab systems and equipment per the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The engineer will monitor system and equipment failures and determine need for appropriate repairs and improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and monitor all infrastructure and systems installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenanceImplement and maintain strategies for backup, security, and redundancy of infrastructure systemsIdentify potential issues and implement solutions proactivelyCraft custom scripts that reduce the need for human interactionEnable faster and smarter business processes and develop meaningful analyticsEngage regularly with upper management, providing reports on project status, activities, and achievementsValidate infrastructure systems and equipmentDevelop and author proceduresSchedule and work with suppliers to perform service, installation, and other activitiesTroubleshoot complex equipment failuresParticipate in and lead engineering and continuous improvement projects.System Administration of the building SCADA system.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support calibrations and maintenance activitiesLeads system/equipment non-conformance investigations and support CAPAs as neededEnsure proper documentation is completed to meet quality system requirementsProgram PLC and troubleshoot PLC program issues.Mentor, onboard and train technicians and engineers on critical systems and equipment.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
