Systems Engineer (w/m/d)

Your contribution

In this versatile role, you will contribute to the development of laboratory equipment for detection and diagnostics in research and medical applications and act as a central interface within interdisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists.

 

You will interpret customer needs and translate those into technical requirements, plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, and summarize significant conclusions based on the results. You will be responsible to identify novel technology and components to support life science applications and their automation. As a key member of the team, you will support the overall product development life cycle from concept phase to final release, ongoing product support and ensure compliance to formal regulations. You will define and execute feasibility studies (including technical research, evaluation of technological solutions, optical design, optical simulation, image processing) in early project phases.

 

 

Your profile

Master's degree (or PhD) in physics, biophysics, optical engineering or similar Practical experience in optical design engineering Good knowledge in imaging and image processing Basic knowledge in Software programming (e.g. Python) Basic engineering skills (systems, electronics, mechanics) is an advantage Team-player, excellent communication skills, proactive mindset

Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obliged to state the minimum monthly salary of EUR 4.552,67 (classification according to the collective agreement of the electrical and electronics industry based on full-time 38.5 hours/week) as a basis for negotiation. A significant overpayment is envisaged depending on training, qualifications, and experience.
