This is a part time position that Amentum is seeking system engineering professionals with related education and/or experience to support systems and software development in support of the Navy and Marine Corps at Dahlgren, VA. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. **Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:** + Supporting multiple USMC weapons systems by working in an Agile environment to identify/develop/validate/test systems requirements, support integration events, and provide consultation to USMC customers and sponsors upon request. + Applying your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success. + Schedule is predominantly a standard workday but at times flexibility may be required to support a surge effort or event. Some travel may be required. + The degree of telecommuting availability varies with each position and customer. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Five (5) years USMC experience with Operations, process improvement, system testing, model based systems engineering, and systems requirements development/tracing. + Experience with AMANPADS system is a plus. + Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
