KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer, to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, hand selected systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force and Space Systems Command (SSC) Advanced MILSATCOM Division (SZM). You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will work onsite, co-located and closely integrated with the Government Customer.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general and technical engineering support for the development of space vehicles, payloads, and related space systemsAnalyze system requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baselineReview proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to enterprise capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concernsAttend and contribute to program and project management meetings and collaboration sessionsFacilitate communication and prepare/update plans of action and milestones (PoAMs)Lead problem documentation and problem-solving effortsAuthor, review, and coordinate documents and data to aid Government decision-makingActively participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings; attend program and technical reviews (e.g., PMRs, PDRs, CDRs, and other milestone and coordination meetings) to provide technical and programmatic system recommendations and risk assessments

 Required Qualifications: 

Ten or more years of demonstrated experience in systems engineeringMaster's degree or equivalent years of related experience in lieu of a Master's degreeExcellent communication skills, customer relationship skills, organizational skills, and technical proficienciesAble to develop, communicate, and implement solutions for complex technical issuesSelf-starting skills and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines with little to no supervisionProficiency in MS Office products, MS Teams, and other collaborative toolsEligibility for or an active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous DoD, Air Force, or Space Force, or Space Systems Command (SSC) systems engineering experience is preferred

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $150,000 - $170,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
