Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining our systems infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on leveraging Microsoft Azure cloud services. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in systems administration and engineering, coupled with proven experience in Azure cloud environments. Responsibilities: Azure Cloud Management: + Design, deploy, and manage Azure virtual machines, storage, networking, and security services. + Implement and maintain Azure infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform. + Monitor Azure resource utilization and optimize performance and cost. + Manage Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for user authentication and authorization. + Implement and manage Azure backup and disaster recovery solutions. Systems Administration: + Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers. + Manage and troubleshoot server hardware and software issues. + Implement and maintain system monitoring and alerting tools. + Perform system updates, patches, and security hardening. + Manage and maintain virtualized environments (Hyper-V, VMware). Automation and Scripting: + Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages. + Automate system deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks. + Implement and manage configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Technical Support and Troubleshooting: + Provide technical support to internal users and other IT teams. + Troubleshoot complex system issues and resolve them in a timely manner. + Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Collaboration and Communication: + Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure system alignment with business needs. + Communicate effectively with stakeholders on system-related issues. + Participate in on-call rotation as needed. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems administration and engineering. + Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). + Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems. + Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware). + Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python). + Experience with automation and configuration management tools. + Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols. + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate) are highly desired. Preferred Skills: + Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). + Experience with CI/CD pipelines. + Experience with database administration (SQL Server, Azure SQL). + Experience with security best practices in cloud environments. + Experience with Azure DevOps.
