The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking a Countermeasures Engineer to support a Defence project. This position will assist in the development and verification of Counter Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) systems and capabilities to ensure the Australian Defence Force (ADF) is equipped with cutting-edge technology to address operational threats.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Adelaide, with the potential for international travel to the USA. Interstate applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
This position requires an active NV1 clearance on commencement, with the ability to obtain or maintain up to NV2.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the LCRC Chief Engineer with the management of the Engineering Management System (EMS) for Mission Fill development.Conduct design reviews on Mission Fills for Force Protection Electronic Countermeasures (FPECM), with input into testing in a laboratory environment and documentation of test results.Gain and maintain technical authority over FPECM systems and ensure compliance with Defence processes and regulations.Engage with Mission Fill developers to ensure designs are in line with Land-specific testing processes and CMD&V principles.Perform Technical Data Assessments on FPECM systems and provide technical support to field trials.Conduct document audits and update internal processes and procedures in response to changes.Support international field testing of Mission Fills at Defence and allied test facilities.Required Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering (CPEng will be highly advantageous)Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience in Defence projects with expertise in RF/Communications systems design and integration.Experience in the acquisition and introduction into service of systems within Defence environments.Knowledge of electronic countermeasure systems and experience with CIED capability development.Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.Proven experience in Defence systems testing and evaluation at the DT&E and AT&E levels.If you’re ready to shape tomorrow, let’s get started.
