What You Will Be Doing
As the Systems Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• The Systems Engineer will perform modification of military aircraft, both rotary- and fixed-wing to meet evolving operational needs.
• The role involves acting as the technical conscious for program implementation and translating customer requirements into verified and validated end products.
• The Systems Engineer will work within the Systems Engineering team to implement the design lifecycle (i.e., SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) and have responsibilities including:
• Interface development
• Requirements flowdown
• System-level integration
• Architecture definition
• Process development/implementation
• Familiarity with one or more of the following Systems adjacent areas is a plus:
• Cybersecurity for Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems
• Software development
• Technical publications
• Integration and test
• The candidate should have a strong technical background and be able to effectively communicate across the team.
• SOF GLSS provides quick turnaround of added capabilities to existing platforms and the mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community with the best available systems anywhere in the world.

This position is located in Lexington, KY Discover Lexington
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
Experience generating Systems Engineering work products and documentation.
Experience developing technical solutions based on specifications or standards.
Experience with the Systems Engineering design lifecycle (i.e., SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.).
Desired Skills:
Experience with DoD processes or design/modification of military platforms, particularly aircraft.
Experience using common Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or Teamcenter.
Familiar with software development requirements, architecture, integration, and testing.
Familiar with cybersecurity assessment using Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Familiar with Department of Defense technical publications (e.g., TO, TCTO, MWO).
Familiar with systems integration and test.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
