Skills and Competencies

5+ years’ experience managing Managed File Transfer systems in production environment Solid experience in managing and supporting Globalscape EFT or similar file transfer systems.Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS) and security practices.Working Network knowledge - TCP/IP, Subnets, DNS etc Working Operating Systems knowledge - Windows ServerExperience investigating complex issues and performing corrective actions, proven track record in leading major incident recovery.Highly impactful problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Experience working with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow.Customer focused & solutions drivenExceptional written and verbal communication skills.Desired - Bash/Python/Powershell

Education

Desired - Graduate degree in any relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

Deliver solutions towards new business cases and fulfill BAU requests Implement best practices configuration management, monitoring and security.Leads service recovery from major incidents and facilitates mitigation within the SLO targets. Identify root cause and implement permanent solutions.Ensure the security and compliance of file transfer operations, adhering to industry standards and best practices including security hardening.Monitor performance/availabilityLead the planning and execution of application upgrades and migrationsMFT Capacity ManagementDevelop and maintain documentation for application configurations, processes, and procedures including SoPsProvide expert technical support and solve complex problemsProvide training to end-users and other team members as neededWork collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders in achieving full ITIL process compliance, including incident, change, problem, configuration and major incident processes.Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure applications and infrastructure meet key operational security metrics.Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of automation and orchestration.Identify opportunities to optimize performance, reliability, and cost.Interaction across TSG towers and other business support areas for problem escalations, resolutions, reporting and coordination. Contribute to maintain good relationships with the vendor and stay up-to-date with the latest developments related to GlobalScape EFT and more generally to file transfer technologies and recommend improvements.

About the team

The Technology Services Group (TSG) are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our global Operations team to manage, support and deploy Managed File Transfer solutions.

You will work closely with internal business partners, architects, network, cyber-security

and other groups to understand project requirements and deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
