Responsibilities Engineer/design Fire and Gas Detection Systems solutions for General Monitors and MSA fixed instrument customers. Involves creating engineering work product including mechanical, electrical and terminal diagrams, PLC software and HMI software for F&G Systems projects Manage project execution including communicating project expectations; interfacing with clients, planning, and meeting project timelines. Interface with internal and external stakeholders on project status Assist with commercial and technical proposals to client base, involving system conceptualization, and offering comprehensive solutions Conduct factory troubleshooting and startup of new systems prior to customer witnessed factory acceptance testing Conduct field startup and commissioning of systems delivered to customer’s facilities Willingness to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally for F&G System Start-up, commissioning and maintenance. Qualifications Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Competent in Autocad 2D Instrumentation/Electrical design Field startup and commissioning Testing and troubleshooting instrumentation equipment Familiar with NFPA 72 and ISA 61508 Proficiency in PLC Ladder Logic Programming Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service. Preferred: PLC/HMI programming ControLogix, and Rockwell Visualization Products NICET Qualification Experience with Fire and Gas Detection technology and systems Proficiency with Autocad 2D Education Required: BS Electrical Engineering or relevant technical degree Preferred: MS Electrical Engineering, Specialization in industrial automation or process control Registered PE Experience Required Level 1: 1-2 years’ experience in design/fabrication/programming PLC based control system and safety systems #LI-GM1
