The Systems Engineer will design, develop, and support steady state chiller cycle performance prediction software programs representing engineering data for use in Daikin Tools chiller sales. Provide engineering with chiller component and system performance simulation tools to support Chiller development.
Location: Staunton VA- Hybrid (3 days on-site & 2 days remote)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting chiller cycle performance prediction software within Visual Studio environment. Applies thermodynamic and aerodynamic theories into vapor compression performance prediction program. Validates resulting program data to meet applicable UL, AHRI, and ASHRAE standards. Applies appropriate thermophysical fluid properties to solve cycle heat and mass balance Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation. Provide assistance and routine consultation to users of chiller component and system performance prediction application software. Engineering principles primarily focused on thermodynamics and heat transfer, fluid mechanics/dynamics/compression/properties, controls, power electronics Programming principles in C#: object-oriented data structures, custom attributes, event handling, user interface designs, accessing databases, debugging/test building Soft skills: Critical reasoning, data analysis, logic, attention to detail, determination, communication, teamworkMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical engineering, or Computer Science 0 - 3+ years of experience Knowledge of and ability to program in a .NET environment Work visa sponsorship is not available for this positionPreferred Qualifications:

The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
