**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Job Summary
We are seeking an engineer with advanced expertise in SCCM and mid-level proficiency in Intune, as well as Citrix and IGEL. The engineer will play a key role in designing SCCM, Citrix and IGEL within an IRE (Isolated Recovery Environment), documenting implementations and modifications, and overseeing the planning, building, testing, and operational maintenance of these solutions. This includes conducting functional testing, recovery, and repeated rebuilds of the SCCM, Citrix and IGEL systems in the IRE.
Responsibilities also encompass the comprehensive management, configuration, and troubleshooting of all devices managed by SCCM and Intune – as well as duties involving Citrix and IGEL management platforms. This includes the application and operating system lifecycle, application packaging and delivery, automated endpoint deployment support, developing best practice endpoint configurations, hardware certification, and ensuring operating system compliance. The primary operating system managed by SCCM is Windows OS, with iGEL OS as a secondary focus. A mid-level understanding of Windows Defender and security compliance is preferred.
The candidate must be a proactive, positive, initiative-taking individual with strong communication skills aimed at enhancing customer experience. They should excel in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, effectively communicating with customers at all levels, and collaborating with other ITG communities across the HCA Enterprise. The engineer will also lead projects and operational initiatives within the department. The candidate will need to be well-organized and possess a mind for process development and continuous improvement. They will need to assist in developing the logistics on how to get back to production from the IRE.
Responsibilities: Essential responsibilities of the job. Assign a percentage of time spent on each responsibility.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and key stakeholders (Business and IT&G Leaders, vendors, and other product owners) to develop, implement and administer SCCM and supplemental Cyber recovery solutions in an IRE (Isolated Recovery Environment.
• Conduct functional testing of the SCCM system in the IRE during Cyber recovery tests.
• Utilize custom test environments to perform proof of concept implementations before deploying into production.
• Rebuild and prepare the SCCM system for operational readiness in the IRE.
• Create and maintain technical documentation that supports Endpoint OS Lifecycle, deployment, and management capabilities
• Develop and review FAQ/KB articles to provide comprehensive content covering Endpoint OS management and problem resolution for required support tiers.
• Ensure core OS components: Drivers, BIOS, patches, and core applications are updated to maintain hardware stability, functionality, and performance.
• Maintain current OSD images and create new OSD Task Sequences utilizing Microsoft scripting technologies such as PowerShell, WMI, and XML for captured images.
• Document enterprise configuration management for endpoints and preventative maintenance as required.
• Utilize SCCM dynamic collections, advertisements, queries, and reports to gather necessary endpoint reporting data
• Generate query-based collections and SCCM reports using SQL and WQL.
• Contribute to Endpoint Services Dashboard content via Splunk or other data analytics engine to provide business intelligence on the endpoint environment.
• Coordinate the sharing of best practices and policies and procedures
• Participates in activities which improve departmental and organizational performance
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
Qualified candidates must have 3 years of experience.
• 3 years’ experience supporting Windows Endpoint Operating Systems and hardware
• 3 years’ utilizing centralized systems management system to administer endpoints in an enterprise sized environment containing 125,000 or more devices
• Advanced working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11
• Advanced, current knowledge of workstation, laptop, and tablet hardware
• Advanced knowledge of Systems Center Configuration Manager or comparable systems management system
• Microsoft Defender, SCCM Intune Certification and/or Knowledge Level preferred.
• Proficient scripting language (PowerShell preferred) and experience automating endpoint tasks
