Systems Engineer II - Military Operations Research

Military operations analysis / research influences every SNC technology, program, and strategic area of focus. The successful candidate for this position will join a fast-paced, agile team of analysts focused on conducting analysis of future, and existing military systems to inform strategic, program, business development, and customer decisions. The candidate will work in a team environment to execute impactful studies focused on quantifying the mission effectiveness of SNC technology concepts in military operations. You will be responsible for performing modeling, simulation and analysis of multi-domain military systems using industry standard modeling and simulation tools - such as AFSIM and STK - and develop novel modeling simulation tools when necessary. You will support concept of operations (CONOPS) evaluation, requirements definition, customer engagements, trade analyses, and proof of concept exercises. You will employ strong technical, analytical and creative skills to visualize, evaluate, disseminate and iterate on analytical results that support mission systems, weapon systems, sensors, and aircraft technology development.

Responsibilities:

Effectively executing study plans and shaping designs of experiments for assessing military utilityResearching military scenario performance factorsModeling and simulation of military systems and scenariosAnalyzing simulation results and conducting statistical analysisIdentifying insights within data setsConstructing a clear, concise, effective story based on study findingsPresenting results to stakeholders of multiple levels of seniority

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree or higher in related field of study (operations research, engineering, mathematics, or physics)2 or more years in relevant operations research, science and/or engineering related fieldExperience with DoD mission modeling codes (AFSIM, STK, BRAWLER, SUPPRESSOR, ESAMS, etc)Working knowledge of OCA/DCA, ISR, SEAD/DEAD, Electronic Attack, or Long Range Fires missionsExperience with trade-space analyses for radar, EO/IR, communications, or weapons payloads.Experience working in or familiarity with object-oriented programming or standard tools such as Matlab, Python, and C++.An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 - $129,724.54. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance.
