The Systems Engineer III focuses on DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation to perform requirements analysis, including decomposition of high-level requirements into artifacts assignable during Agile program increments and sprints. They are responsible for applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases\: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement. They interact with ICON project teams regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. They communicate with other Technical Direction Plan (TDL) project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives. They are responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include\: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area. They contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as Systems Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents. The Systems Engineer III is a senior role with extensive experience ensuring regulatory and requirements compliance of IT systems. The Systems Engineer III supervise and mentor subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.

The base salary range for this position is $173k to $186k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
