About the Team:

The IT Operations team at Reed Exhibitions is responsible for managing an array of tasks that address the company's diverse technological requirements.

About Role:

This role is responsible for the technical support and management of Splunk within our Global Technology Operations Team. The position functions as a Splunk Administrator within Global Technology and offers technical assistance to application users and technical support teams.

Responsibilities:

Creating and managing quality queries, dashboards, custom views, saved searches, and alerts for internal technical operations teams and business application owners.Developing and maintaining automation scripts for security operations using common scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Qualifications:

2+ years of Technical Support Specialist experience2-year technical degree + Bachelor’s degree requiredA+ Certification or other technology certifications a plus

Required skills:

Understanding of Data Flows & ReportingProven knowledge of ITSM tools & processes, Integrations, Project Management ToolsAdvanced knowledge in multiplatform environments and data flowsProven ability & understanding of an array of Application Technologies (Cloud/SaaS/On-Prem/Legacy).Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesBasic knowledge of OS, virtual machine, infrastructure, and database management

Desirable skills:

Knowledge of Splunk Cloud and Splunk ObservabilityExperience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with their security features

Support skills:

Experience leading teams to troubleshoot complex project issuesSkilled in technical writing and SOP developmentKnowledge of operating procedures creation and updatesAbility to understand and manage system processesFamiliar with IT environments and business needsProficient in backup and recovery proceduresStrong organizational, project planning, time management, and change management skillsCoordinate with development, support groups, and vendors; escalate issues as neededAdapt to new technologies and assist others in doing so
