Job Title: Systems Engineer Intern

Job Summary:
As a Systems Engineer Intern at Honeywell, in our Satellite Communication team based from our Tewkesbury site, you will be responsible for supporting and developing cutting edge solutions for satellite connectivity in the aerospace sector. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.
This internship is set up for 12 months and will be for a candidate requiring a 2025 sandwich internship as part of their degree, with a potential opportunity for a permanent role after graduation.

Key responsibilities
You will be fully trained within a supportive and nurturing team to achieve the below:
· Integrating communication systems into our commercial drones and performing test flights
· Systems and Honeywell design of Satellite Communication systems primarily in the L-band frequency range
· Testing and debugging systems according to test specifications
· Contribution to design and document reviews for your own and other areas of development
· Providing support to the team to meet project milestones
Key skills and qualifications
· Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in in Electronics or Communications Engineering, that requires a yearlong industry placement in 2025
· Experience in electronic engineering, (from the workplace, internship, your degree or a hobby)
· Software skills in Python or other languages
· Solid ability in MS Office, (such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint), so as to present data in meaningful ways
· Business level communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
