Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in King of Prussia, PA is seeking a summer Intern Systems Engineer to join the JASSM Enterprise Software Mission Optimizations team. This position requires a candidate with strong problem solving, analytical, technical writing, and communication skills focused on supporting United States Air Force and Navy software/systems engineering programs. The candidate will support mission optimization areas to include data analysis, interfacing with DoD intelligence tools and systems, requirements analysis/management, and software testing and troubleshooting. The candidate must be able to work within a team environment under supervision from senior engineers and able to communicate with team members outside of their own team. The work location will be in Valley Forge, PA.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Sciences, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Must have experience working with DoD Geospatial Intelligence and geographic mapping tools and systems such as ArcGIS.
- Must have familiarity with at least one of the following computer programming languages: Python, R, SQL, Java.
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with software architectures, data flows, and use cases.
- General knowledge of machine learning and/or artificial intelligence.
- General knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools.
- General knowledge of the software development cyle.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
