The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. The position is in support of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).

 

SPA has a near term need for a Systems Engineer in Washington, DC (Washington Navy Yard). Washington DC Pay Transparency Range: $95,000 - $105,000.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will provide comprehensive technical and programmatic support to the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS), Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N), and TRIDENT II missile programs within Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). This role involves collaborating across SSP program teams to develop solutions and action plans that mitigate risks and ensure program milestones are achieved. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to support the SSP financial and budget teams as well as Flight Systems government teams to facilitate safe, effective, and cost-conscious designs. Occasional travel will be required, up to several times per year. The selected candidate will be seated at the Washington Navy Yard.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

U.S. citizen with DoD security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain clearance while employed with SPABachelor's degree in STEM (preferably engineering, chemistry, physics, math), or equivalent job experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop actionable recommendationsAbility to work collaboratively across multiple teams within SSP and external stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting technical or financial information
